zero waste christmas fayre
After the huge success of our Eco Fayre in 2019 , we're organising Dorset’s first Zero Waste Christmas Fayre to welcome in the festive season is on Saturday 13th November, Bournemouth Collegiate School will be filled to the brim with Christmas spirit, local businesses, seasonal activities, and refreshments, all with a sustainable twist.
This year more than ever, people are looking for ways to be kinder to the planet. And Christmas is no exception. The holiday season can be very wasteful, with lots of single-use plastic and far more festive food than you could possibly eat.
The Zero Waste Christmas Fayre on Saturday 13th November between 10.30am and 3.30pm.
The fayre will celebrate the sustainable groups and businesses in the local area, see the list below. There will also be stalls for the Dorset Wildlife Trust, the Dorset Devils, and make-your-own Christmas crafts. Visitors can support the local community, get into the Christmas spirit, and pick up some tips and tricks on how to stay sustainable during the holiday season all in one place.
Alongside ideas and workshops there will be plenty of opportunities to do a little Christmas shopping and enjoy some festive food and drink too. We’ve even made sure to organise some music!”
To attend the Zero Waste Christmas Fayre head to Bournemouth Collegiate School, BH5 2DY on Saturday 13th November between 10.30am and 3.30pm.
